KISS Tours Staff

Chris Gormley - KISS Tour Founder and PGA/KISS/Diehard Tour Director
I am 34 years old and live in Six Lakes, Michigan.  I am employed by a small rural school as a Band Director, which I have been for the last 7 years.  I started playing Links way back when Links, The Challenge of Golf, was the game to play.  Every time Access put out another golf game, I was there in line to buy.  I started KISS  Tours after experiencing great frustration with other sites.  I wanted to create a golf tour that was fun for all players, and easy for people to play in.  Therefore, KISS Tours was born.  Many have asked "where did the name for the tour come from?"  Well it is very simple.  It comes from the following phrase "KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID"  Once I heard this saying I knew it would be a great thing to build the tour off of.  I have been a member of quite a few different Tour Sites on the internet.  I tried to take the best things from all of them and combine them into a Tour that the great player, as well as the average player could enjoy.

Jerry Garlisch - CPU/CPU Ryder Cup Tour Director
I am 65 years old and live in the city of Tampa in sunny Florida. Most of my life I have been employed by various Chrysler Corporation automobile dealers, both in the Chicago area, where I grew up, and here in Florida as a Parts Manager. I am now retired, so I can devote all of the time I want to playing Links Golf. I would prefer to play real golf but a back injury seven years ago has prevented me from doing that. I started to play computer golf, and also was introduced to a fledgling company -- Access, with my Commodore 64 with Access's first release, World Class Leaderboard. I the moved up to a PC where I continued on with their first PC release, Links, The Challenge of Golf (anybody remember those old 5 1/4 floppies)? hehehe

I have ever since been a very faithful follower of the greatest PC golf game ever produced, Links, by purchasing every version of the game and every version of the courses that Access has released. Still have all of them, in their original boxes, sitting on a shelf right behind me as I sit here at my computer. I also collect Logo golf balls for the Access/MS courses and have one from every course except three of the Fantasy ones. I do have one for Devils Island though, which was a publicity creation by Access, and is very rare.

I discovered the fun of League competition about 1992 when I discovered a golf league on AOL called the ALPT, run by CyberSports and ALPT Toad, ALPT Wally and ALPT Lou, and immediately joined. I made many great on line friends there, most of which I still enjoy today, and have met about five of them face to face and plan to meet many more. When Links LS 97 came out I, and a good buddy of mine, Jim Compton, were asked to organize a LS division of the league and the ALPTLS Masters was born. We ran that AOL league till January of 1999 when the organizer of the Tour decided to close down the shop. I have played in many other on line Tours but enjoy Chris's CPU Tour the most, which is why I took him up on the offer to assist him by the running of the CPU Tour. In the other tours, or on line, you will find me by the name of FixAmer1st. If you ever spot me on line, on ICQ (#1423965) or Windows Messenger, give me a shout and if I have the time, would be glad to give you a match. I greatly enjoy operating the CPU Tour and hope that many more of you will join us in this great Tour format. Keep it on the light green, and have FUN! :-) Jerry (Fix)
